For a safe and enjoyable walking experience
The Mallard March is a walking event that is not only about remembrance and experience, but also about enjoying physical activity in the open air. To ensure a safe and pleasant experience for all participants, we kindly ask you to observe the following rules.
General Rules
Respect nature and the environment: Do not leave any litter, do not damage plants, and do not disturb animals.
Stay on the designated route: This prevents damage to nature and reduces risk to yourself.
Dogs: Only allowed if kept on a leash and off private property. If the route (partly) crosses private land, participation with dogs is not permitted. This will be clearly communicated in advance.
Responsibility for dogs: The handler is fully (including financially) liable for any damage or injury caused by the dog.
Clothing and equipment: Wear appropriate walking clothes and footwear. Bring enough water and, if needed, something to eat.
Safety
Traffic rules: Obey all traffic regulations. Make sure you are clearly visible, especially in low-light conditions.
Use of reflective gear: Preferably wear a reflective vest or light if walking before sunrise or during dusk.
Health: Listen to your body, take breaks, and ensure proper hydration.
Sustainability and Environment
Take your waste with you: Leave nature as you found it.
Reusable materials: Use reusable bottles and containers.
Do not pollute water sources.
Choose sustainable transportation: Consider carpooling, cycling, or using public transport.
Conduct
Be kind: Greet fellow walkers and make room for faster participants.
Avoid causing disturbance: Keep conversations and music volume low.
Respect property: Do not enter private land (unless it is opened for the walk) and treat the surroundings with care.
Liability: Participation is at your own risk. The organization is not liable for any damage or injury. The participant is personally liable for any damage to third parties or property.
Photos: Photos may be taken during the event for reporting or promotional purposes. Anyone who objects to publication should inform the photographer on site.
Cancellation and Refund
Cancellation by participant: If a participant cancels up to two weeks before the walk, the registration fee will be refunded, minus a €0.50 administration fee.
Cancellation by the organization: If the Mallard March is canceled by the organization, the participant is entitled to a full refund of the registration fee, minus a €0.50 administration fee.
Requesting a refund: Refunds must be requested within 14 days after the scheduled date of the walk, using a form that will be made available in the event of cancellation.
Final Provision

Together, we ensure a special, safe, and respectful walking experience. Enjoy the Mallard March!
