Everyone is welcome!
At the Liberation Museum Zeeland, accessibility is of utmost importance. We want to ensure that everyone, regardless of physical limitations, can experience the rich history of the province of Zeeland during World War II. That’s why we have taken various measures to make our museum as accessible as possible. Whether you are a visitor using a wheelchair, an electric wheelchair, or a mobility scooter, we do our utmost to ensure your visit is pleasant and hassle-free. Below you will find more information about the facilities and services we offer to make your visit comfortable.
Accessibility and Facilities
- Elevators: All floors of the museum are accessible by elevator, allowing you to easily navigate through the building.
- Wheelchairs and Mobility Scooters: The museum is accessible to wheelchairs, electric wheelchairs, and mobility scooters that are the size of an electric wheelchair. Unfortunately, larger mobility scooters do not fit in our elevators. However, you can park your mobility scooter with us and then use one of our wheelchairs.
- Accessible Paths and Walkways: The surrounding park of the Liberation Museum Zeeland is also well accessible for visitors with physical disabilities. All paths are paved and wide enough to comfortably navigate with a wheelchair or mobility scooter. Rest points and seating areas are regularly found along the paths, allowing you to enjoy the beautiful surroundings during your visit.
